cvs-buildpackage software package provides set of Debian package scripts for CVS source trees, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cvs-buildpackage
cvs-buildpackage is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cvs-buildpackage package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cvs-buildpackage *
You will get with cvs-buildpackage package name, version, architecture and description in a table
